The Latin American Studies Program enriches formal instruction with experiential learning abroad. You will be formed in both, a comprehensive understanding of Latin America and a rich knowledge of the global processes affecting the region and its people. You will develop your practical language skills in Spanish and Portuguese and chose optional modules from politics, history, cultural studies and Spanish sociolinguistics amongst others. Portuguese can be started from scratch and you will spend year three in the country of your choice.
