The MA in English Literature gives you the opportunity to study an extensive range of literary genres, texts, and approaches. You'll take one core critical theory module - such as Postcolonial Theory, Feminist Literary Theory, or Drama and Performance Theory - which will allow you to explore a particular strand of literary theory in depth.Alongside this core module, you'll take three other modules and we give you the freedom to choose from an exciting array of options that reflect the breadth of research expertise on offer in our Department, a range reflected by regularly running modules such as The Development of English Drama, Modern Japanese Fiction, The Condition of England: Perceptions in Victorian Literature, and The Poetics of Urban Modernism.
